BOLTON women are already well aware of the obvious charms of Vernon Kay.
His piercing blue eyes, long dark hair and a smile to make you utter: "Yes, master."
So it won't come as any surprise to discover the Lostock lad has been named as one of the country's 50 most eligible bachelors in the March issue of leading women's glossy magazine Company.
Vernon is one of the fashion industry's top models. Add to that a dream of a job presenting The Mag programme on Channel 5 and you have a recipe for a very eligible man indeed.
The 24-year-old's lifestyle demands he now lives in London, but where does he enjoy hanging out when he's not working?
"The Temple in Bolton and my local pub - it used to be called The Beehive - in Lostock.
"I try and get home to visit as often as I can," says Vernon, "and when I do I always go to The Temple after a few drinks down the local." Company magazine quizzes the 6ft 2ins model about life, love and what he's do if he won the Lottery.
"I told them I'd buy myself a can of lager and give the rest of the money to my mum and dad to look after for me," he laughs.
Describing himself as "daft as a brush", it's Vernon's personality that really charms the ladies.
"I make them laugh," he reveals. "Then let my eyes do the talking," he adds with a wicked grin.
Having flicked through the magazine and seen the other 49 bachelors, it really is a case of no contest.
And there can only be one winner for the tile of Britain's Most Eligible Bachelor.
