WE thank you for your extensive coverage recently of the Community Safety Partnership's Crime and Disorder Audit Report.
As you already know it has been the product of considerable effort and co-operation between the partners over the past few months.
We would just like to stress that the primary purpose of the Audit is to help stimulate the views and priorities of the public in offering ideas on the subject. Your readership, we hope, will follow your example and give us what we are requesting, that is, responses that offer their experience and imagination in order that we may jointly work towards a safer community for all our residents.

Wigan Division and Stephen Jones
