MARK Lavery of Westhoughton is a brave young man. As we revealed in our story yesterday, Mark who hit a child who ran in front of him while he was driving a van, told his story at the launch of a new Kill Your Speed campaign.
The accident was not Mark's fault and the child has made a good recovery. But Mark still lies awake every night thinking what might have happened if he had been going that little bit faster.
It must have taken guts for Mark to relive the accident. The fact that he did so may make other drivers think again about speeding. Well done, Mark.
