The power of nature Our world is filled with beauty and sorrow,
Of which we share each tomorrow.
The earth, the sky, the birds that sing,
We share all these wondrous things.
The ocean as it ebbs and flows,
We stand and wonder where it goes.
The wind so angry, then so calm,
It can do terrible harm.
The earth it trembles and it quakes,
To everyone in its wake.
Tragedy, death and disaster,
The power of nature is the master.
The beauty of the sky at night,
The moon and stars such a sight.
The rainbows and their ray of colours,
Everything seems wonderful and bright.
The sunset as we retire,
The sunrise after a night's sleep.
All these sights are ours to treasure,
Memories to think of at our leisure.
The joyful sight of flowers in spring,
Natures does all these wondrous things.
The air, the earth, the sky, the sea,
All these things for us to see.
And as the time goes even faster,
We remember there is but one master.
No one can match the power of nature,
A wonderful miracle we all enjoy. By Mrs Jean Aldred
