THE NEWS that Bolton Council is to invest £550,000 on creating a centre where disruptive pupils can "get back on track" is extremely welcome (BEN, January 25).
Along with the recent announcement that £2m is to be spent on schools following the sale of council land, this latest announcement highlights that Labour-controlled Bolton Council has clearly put improving the borough's education as its number one priority.
We now have a council and national Government working in tandem to improve education for the children of Bolton.
