PEOPLE living in Farnworth are beginning to see the job benefits of being in a Single Regeneration Budget area. Seven people, ranging from apprentice bricklayers to fork lift truck drivers and general site workers have been taken on by Bellway, who are building a new estate of around 80 homes on land at Windermere Road, Farnworth. A further 15 homes are to be constructed under a shared ownership scheme by Manchester Methodist Housing Association.
Opportunities
"Both Bellway and the Council see this development as creating a number of new job opportunities for people from within the area," said Cllr Noel Spencer, Farnworth SRB co-chairman.
