AN 86-year-old Bolton woman has scooped a £36,000 jackpot-at one of the region's luckiest bingo clubs.
The pensioner, whose name has not been revealed, pulled off a triple triumph at the Buckingham Bingo Club in Walkden which has already had regional prize winners taking home a total of nearly £160,000 this month.
Only last weekend, another punter scooped £103,000 to become the club's biggest ever winner.
The 86-year-old woman who hit the jackpot this week won the national bingo game prize of £33,333 as well as the regional prize of £2,470 and house prize of £142. She visits the club twice a week with her daughter.
And if it had not been for lady luck smiling on a couple of bingo players in other parts of the country, she could have walked off with a National Bingo Game prize of £100,000. Players in Cardiff and Gateshead called house at the same time as her and shared the big prize. Almost 600 clubs in the UK link up to play the National Bingo game via a computer link.
