A DRIVERS' dispute which caused chaos for many Bolton bus travellers is over.
Stagecoach Ribble management say there will be no further disruption to services after a majority of drivers accepted a revised pay offer.
Angry drivers had initially rejected a pay deal and staged a series of one-day strikes.
Stagecoach Ribble is one of the main operators in the Bolton area and the strike action has caused widespread disruption since before Christmas.
The dispute was marred by tragedy last month when a Blackburn father of three was crushed to death in an accident with a bus as he stood on a picket line with other drivers at the Blackburn depot.
A Stagecoach Ribble spokesman said today: "The revised pay offer initially rejected was subject to a re-ballot and this time accepted by a large majority of drivers in line with the recommendation of their trade union.
"The company acknowledge the inconvenience caused to customers during the one day strikes and now looks forward to delivering the quality of service to which they are entitled."
