I THANK all who contributed to the Bolton Lions'/Evening News' Caring Christmas Appeal a few weeks ago. The contributions were not just the commodities (money, food, toys) of course. A lot of hard work is also a contribution towards this annual operation.
A multitude of good people were beavering away - offering, collecting, delivering, accepting, transporting, recording, planning, wrapping, labelling, sorting, bagging, shifting, lifting, placing - all before the magic of giving.
Involved were schools, churches, clubs, groups, shops, individuals, families etc. Up at the sharp end were Angela Kelly and colleagues and my fellow Lions. We are grateful for the generosity and help from the people of our district yet again.
