TWO of Leigh's front-line stars will be going to hospital for x-rays today. Skipper Craig Dean and Aussie second rower Heath Cruickshank need precautionary checks on worrying injuries less than a week before the Centurions face Barrow in a crucial Challenge Cup fourth round tie.

Dean was on crutches yesterday after turning an ankle towards the end of a training session on Saturday while Cruickshank took a blow on the jaw in yesterday's battling league win over York.

While Dean is confident of making a full recovery in time for next Sunday's tie, Millward is not so sure. "It's the second time in a month that Craig's turned the same ankle. While we don't think there's a break or a serious problem, I would have to say he'll struggle for next weekend."

Cruickshank's face was swollen after taking a stray elbow in only his second full game.

"Again he's gone for x-rays just as a precaution. Hopefully it's nothing worse than bruising," says Millward.

Centre Alan Hadcroft will make a personal appearance before the RL Disciplinary Panel in Leeds tomorrow after being sent off for alleged fighting in last week's cup tie against Norland.
