SICK AND WEARY Who takes the blame
It's a real damn shame,
The doctors and nurses
We don't hear their curses.
Running round in circles
Searching round for beds,
The sick they come in by the dozen
Doctors and nurses are really buzzin.
Send one home before she is well
The one on the trolley is going through hell,
She's been on that trolley for over six hours
Having oxygen to help her to breathe
But she needs a bed to give her some ease
I took my friend in one Sunday night
This is when I saw their plight,
The devotion of the staff was plain to see
But those poor souls what misery.
Sorry you're still on that trolley
Won't be long before we get you a bed,
Six hours later a porter is on his way
Oh my God what a terrible day.
So much agony so much pain
Things are really going downhill,
Do we really have to swallow this pill?
Not enough hospitals, not enough beds
It's time you got together and used your heads. By Mrs Joan Aldred
