COLIN Todd wrapped up the £1 million deal that finally added Bo Hansen to the Reebok ranks and immediately set his sights on more new recruits.
The Wanderers boss is looking to strengthen his midfield and centre-back positions after drawing up contingency plans for the promotion run-in.
His immediate worry is in defence, where he has lost the services of £800,000 signing Paul Warhurst for three to four weeks and is resigned to being without Mark Fish for the Feb 27 home fixture against Crewe when the South African will be away on international duty.
He is also looking to add two more players to his midfield department, where he is lacking sufficient cover for his regular quartet of Per Frandsen, Michael Johansen, Claus Jensen and Scott Sellars.
"It all depends on whether the right calibre of player comes available but I'd like to strengthen the squad even further before next month's transfer deadline," Todd confirmed.
Wanderers were waiting today for their international brigade to return in readiness for Saturday's home game against West Brom.
Jussi Jaaskelainen, who was on duty with Finland in their 1-1 draw with Poland in Malta, Ricardo Gardner, who figured in Jamaica's 1-1 draw with Costa Rica in Kingston and Per Frandsen, who sat out Denmark's 1-0 win in Croatia, are all due back this afternoon, along with Claus Jensen, who played in Demark U-21s scoreless draw with Croatia on Tuesday.
Wanderers will not be pursuing their interest in the two trialist full-backs, who played in the Reserves' 2-0 win against Sheffield Wednesday last night.
American international Michael Burns and Sunderland left back Paul Heckingbottom, have both been told there is nothing doing at the Reebok.
