SNOW UPON THE HILLTOPS Snow upon the hilltop

Drifting all around,

Flakes so light and gentle

Covering the ground.

Snow upon the hillside

Glistens neath a sky of blue,

A robin hops from branch to branch

His breast a rosy hue.

Sunlight casts a radiance

Dazzling to the eye,

Gleaming bright as diamonds

On the frozen stream nearby.

Soon the snow has melted

Gone with the morning dew,

Winter is forgotten

As spring returns anew. By Doris Braithwaite
