PUPILS at a Bolton primary school have been doing work for all seasons.
The youngsters at St Peter and St Paul's Primary School, Derby, have been preparing tapestries on winter, spring, summer and autumn for a display in their main hall.
Tots from year one and reception classes have been working with Bolton artist Suzanne Harulow, who was specially commissioned by the school to help the children bring out their creative flare.
She has been visiting the school on Pilkington Street one morning a week for the past five weeks to help the children get the designs together.
Great fun
And the labour of love is almost complete and ready to go on the wall for its official unveiling ceremony.
The massive artwork, which stands at least six feet tall, will take pride of place in the hall and parents will be shown the work when they visit the school.
Artist Suzanne said: "It has been great fun working with the kids and they have really enjoyed it."
The scheme has been organised by Bolton Artist and School Agency, where Suzanne is on the register and class teachers Trish Grogan and Laura Wright have been helping out.
Rapport
Suzanne - a Manchester University graduate - has now formed her own business, the Newleaf Workshop, working with schools. She was shortlisted for new small business of the year in the Bolton and Bury Business Awards for Excellence and Achievement last year.
Head teacher Debra Power said: "Suzanne has developed a great rapport with the kids and the children's involvement has been quite major. They have had good fun and have been learning at the same time."
