ROBBIE Elliott is set to continue in his emergency central defensive role for Wanderers tomorrow against a West Brom attack that boasts the nation's leading goalscorer.

The prolific Lee Hughes has scored 27 of Albion's 53 Division One goals this season and poses a major threat as the Reebok heroes bid for their sixth straight win.

But Colin Todd, buoyed by a 13-match unbeaten sequence, which has taken his side into third place, just eight points behind runaway leaders Sunderland, struck a note of confidence today when he said: "The opposition will be concerned about us. Make no mistake about that.

"Albion have got some good attack-minded players in their side and Hughes is a threat. So too is Fabian DeFreitas on his day.

"But, once again it's about ourselves and how we go about things that matters and there's an incredible confidence about the team at the moment. And I'll say again, there can be no greater motivation for them than to think they can still catch Sunderland.

"We've got to be disciplined in the way we have been in recent games. We mustn't make it easy for teams to play through us or round us. That's the key."

Skipper Scott Sellars, who has recovered from an ankle knock picked up in the 1-0 win at Grimsby, says the players are going into games believing they cannot lose.

Elliott continues at centre-back after impressing when he replaced Paul Warhurst after just 15 minutes at Grimsby. New signing Bo Hansen, who has completed his £1 million transfer from Brondby, may get a place on the bench as Todd stands by the Dean Holdsworth-Bob Taylor partnership.

The international brigade of Per Frandsen, Claus Jensen, Jussi Jaaskelainen and Ricardo Gardner all returned from their travels yesterday.

Wanderers' keeper Gavin Ward is expected to join Wrexham on a month's loan early next week.
