neglected here I would like to reassure Walter Hall from my own personal observations in Bolton, that there is a great deal of planning and effort goes into the care of the elderly in Bolton and, as he himself says, this is nothing less than they deserve.
Just think about the great talent working for the elderly at the Royal Bolton Hospital - Dr Banerjee, Dr Adams, Dr Baker, plus a great team of doctors and nurses.
Yes, the elderly in Bolton can rest assured if they ever need to go into hospital they will receive the best of treatment from a very talented team.
Many people treated in their own homes by:-
The Patrick Wallace team of angels sometimes known as district nurses.
Individual carers who are sometimes part of the family but other times not.
Employees of Bolton Social Service Department who go into people's homes giving help and advice.
There is no evidence, to my knowledge, in Bolton of NHS managers spending money on high tech projects to the detriment of elderly patients. You can rest assured if there were, that dedicated band of people who work without pay on your behalf known as the Community Health Council would be screaming it from the house top, with the Labour Party giving them full support.
