I APPLAUD the Council for its forthcoming policy on irresponsible dog owners, with its "get tough" stance on dog mess.
What a delight it will be then to walk through our streets paved with chewing gum and strewn with empty crisp packets, sweet wrappers, beer and aerosol cans, old duvets and soiled disposable nappies!
What pleasure we will have enjoying our precious "green spaces" where the landscape is pleasantly planted with broken glass, bin bags full of household rubbish, cardboard boxes, empty plastic bottles, cigarette packets, car hub caps, take-away food and its containers. How lovely to be able to watch our few trees come into bloom with their empty carrier bags!
What about a Human Mess Patrol - the Council coffers would overflow with the fines levied - as our environment is overflowing with litter.
