A BRAVE woman's fight against cancer is highlighted in our Bouquet of the Week today.
Mrs M Forrest from Tonge Fold writes, nominating her daughter, Mrs Jacqueline Barmby from Harwood:
"Last year, at the age of 35, she was diagnosed as having breast cancer. Within 10 days, she was admitted to the Royal Bolton Hospital and had a mastectomy.
She was absolutely devastated, as were all the family. She has now had six months of chemotherapy, her last was on her 36th birthday.
I expect you will have heard of lots of people with similar stories, but Jacqueline is my only daughter and she is such a lovely girl, never complaining, and the treatment has been very debilitating.
I do hope you will consider Jacqueline for your Bouquet of the Week. It would make my day as much as I know it would make her's."
And Mrs Barmby loved the beautiful Princess hand-tied bouquet, which was delivered courtesy of Susan Ward Florist (freephone 0800-289-335), situated opposite Bolton Central Police Station.
If YOU know someone who deserves our lovely weekly bouquet, write and tell us about her or him (including a daytime telephone number) to: BOUQUET OF THE WEEK, Angela Kelly, Features Department, Bolton Evening News, Churchgate, Bolton, BL1 1DE.
