SIR,- I read the other day that anyone now requiring new glasses will have to wait at least 4 months for their order to be completed. I have been waiting five months, and I advise all workers to take great care of their present glasses, for if they have an accident with them (which I did) they may have to retire from work for nine months or so. This may the the time taken to secure an appointment for eye test and receiving the glasses. I cannot see more than three yards without suffering eye strain and severe headaches, and I am coming to the conclusion that by the time I receive the national health glasses I may be blind. Yours, etc. Still Waiting.
