I WISH to express my sheer disgust at the waste of public money.
In April 1997, I had a severe accident resulting in an injury to my back. My career in nursing then had to be terminated. Since this date I have been in receipt of Incapacity Benefit.
I am at the moment, like many people, awaiting a major operation by a Manchester consultant.
How is it then that Social Security have sent for me for a medical examination? These medicals cost the Social Security money, which could have been spent on someone else.
I advised them when completing my entitlement form, of my situation, also advised them to contact my consultant if they wanted further information. Surely this would have cost far less than a medical?
