West Brom Res 2 Wanderers Res 3 Wanderers Reserves extended their unbeaten run to four games with a 3-2 victory over West Brom at Halesowen last night.
On a wet and windy evening, it was Danish striker Bo Hansen, playing his first game in a Bolton shirt since his £1m move from Brondby, who stole the show with two quality goals.
His first came after four minutes, when he was fed by Eidur Gudjohnsen before outpacing a defender and slotting the ball over the oncoming keeper from 12 yards. His second came in the 37th minute when the Dane sent a first time volley into the net from 15 yards to convert a left wing cross from Peter Morrison. Wanderers completed their best display of the season so far with a third after 40 minutes. Gudjohnsen, who had earlier struck a post, was on hand to slot home from Morrison's right wing corner.
Albion got back into it with a 64th minute penalty conversion by Enjo Maresca and six minutes later Justin Richards rifled home a shot from the edge of the area.
Andy Todd came though another full 90 minutes in the stamina testing conditions on his way back to full fitness.
