IN THE Chorley Nissan Sunday League Premier Division, Duke of York travelled to Horwich to play Monteraze Athletic and returned home with maximum points.
Two goals from Marsden and one each from Bolton and Curwen gave them a 4-2 win, Christie and McMidden replying for the home side.
In the Mitre Trophy, Rose and Crown comprehensively saw off Farmers Arms' challenge, winning 6-1. Both Stott and Horne notching two a piece, while Catterall and Holt both got on the scoresheet.
Two goals from Swarbrick and one from Nichols saw White Bull Wanderers leading Brookes Arms 3-1 at the interval of a thrilling match. But Brookes scored twice after the break to take the tie to extra time. With no further score the the match went to penalties, White Bull progressing 4-3.
Roebuck overcame a spirited performance by 2nd division Adlington Nomads, eventually winning 6-4.
In the Firwood Trophy, Sharrock helped himself to a hat trick as Adlington Engineers beat Duke of York 10-0.
Golden Lion needed extra time to see off Adlington Rovers. Horner, Stafford and Telfer scoring for Lion, Nolan and Hayes replying for Rovers.
