ANGRY Leigh forward Chris Parr wants to use video evidence to prove his neck injury was caused deliberately. Parr, making his first start since joining Leigh from Rochdale a month ago, was flattened in a high tackle just 15 minutes into yesterday's Northern Ford Premiership defeat at Dewsbury.
Although referee Peter Gilmour awarded Leigh a penalty, Parr took no further part after suffering a 'whiplash'-type injury to his neck.
Coach Ian Millward revealed: "Chris is concerned that the injury was caused deliberately and wants us to use video evidence to have the player punished. "We'll take a look at the incident and if the evidence is there, we'll take the matter further."
Parr's loss was the second injury blow Leigh suffered in the first quarter. They also lost winger David Ingram with an ankle injury and both are rated doubtful for Sunday's Challenge Cup fifth round tie at Widnes.
