I REFER to the letter headed: Answers needed. It was with grave concern that I read this untruthful correspondence. Having read many letters contributed by Mrs Adams I am proud to say we never agree on anything. This is to be expected as she is Conservative, and I am a very proud member of the Labour Party.
I can understand another Conservative thinker writing in to support her views, but even in this very hard world of politics, there should be a place for honesty and truth. And it is this matter that causes me most concern. The journalists at the BEN are aware that Dr Brian Iddon is a resident of this town, even though the editorial staff appear unaware of this fact.
For this unnamed correspondent to launch this untrue attack against our MP is beyond comprehension, and for our own local paper to allow these lies to be printed without the correspondent putting a name to it is beyond belief.
Dr Brian Iddon has served this town well both at local and national level. His contribution to housing matters in Bolton and Farnworth are widely known, and command a great deal of respect from other authorities outside Bolton.
He holds regular surgeries in Farnworth
His casework is beyond reproach (this is documented and can be proven)
He has a great concern for the sick and the elderly.
Brian Iddon is an outstanding MP second to none, and may I say it, when working on behalf of his constituency he truly is A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS.
