I WAS appalled to read in Tuesday's BEN that it will cost me £30 to obtain copies of all the planning information regarding Westhoughton's proposed "super estate".

I am doing an Open University degree module in Environment. Part of the course work is made up of a 2,000 word report about a local environmental matter. This estate, though I have no wish to see it built, is the perfect subject for my project.

If I cannot obtain the information I need then I shall just have to mention Bolton Council's obstructive behaviour in my report and use my cutting from Tuesday's BEN as proof.

Bolton Council ...I want everything you have on that estate and by-pass and I don't want to have to pay more than a fiver for it.
