RESPECT I saw an old lady knelt by the side of a grave,
The weather was inclement, she was more than brave.
Was she reaching for a husband, a boy or a girl?
Her thoughts I hope in a happy whirl.
Her pilgrimage from home to show love and respect,
To a bygone soul she will always recollect.
It's sad to think she would like to be hugged,
But as things are, maybe burglars or mugged.
I offered my hand, to help her to stand,
I had all time in the world, nothing planned.
To offer her safety and help on her way,
To give her love and respect makes it a perfect day. By Arnold Harrison
