DEFENDING genetically modified food, Tony Blair claimed that genetic science could become as important as computers. Yes, but we are not forced to eat computers. Our Tony says: "There is no scientific evidence on which to ban GM Food." Well, there was no scientific evidence on which to ban the drug thalidomide and the feeding of herbivore cows with sheep's offal, and we all know what happened there!
And to force vegetarians like myself to eat tomatoes containing the genes of fish is just not on! I actually couldn't care less how much food is genetically modified, PROVIDED it is clearly labelled, so that I, and people of like mind, can avoid it like the plague!
