WIDELY heralded as the ultimate Queen tribute show, The Royal Family bring their breathtaking show to the Albert Halls on Thursday, March 25. Formed in Hull in 1989, The Royal Family have firmly established themselves as one of the finest tribute bands in the world. Their following reaches far beyond these shores, endorsed by sell-out performances across Europe, and as far afield as Japan. With a two hour show that recreates the musical story of Freddie Mercury and Queen, it has been said that "they are not merely impersonators, they're nearly the real thing". No details is spared in their imitation, including instruments, costumes and lighting. Even the hair and accents are accurate!
They are one of the few tribute bands who have been able to command the respect of both fans of the original band, new fans, and they have been commended by members of Queen. On hearing of their hard work and determination to accurately reflect Queen in every way, Brian May encouraged them to "keep up the good work".
The show starts at 8pm and tickets are now on sale at the Albert Halls Ticket and Information Centre, open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm (tel: 01204 364333).
