I have been increasingly perturbed by whispers in the air regarding the "New Deal". This, indeed, sounds like an American idea and springs to my mind President Roosevelt's New Deals during the Depression of the 1930s.
We import far too many goods that we formerly made, and it is high time the Government redressed the balance. We have been dogged with Right Wing governments for so long, it has become the norm.
I completely sympathise with Mr T Lees who will no doubt agree that Peter Lilley showed little sympathy for the sick, genuine or otherwise.
