SUNDERLAND are prepared to offer Bolton fans up to 3,100 tickets for next month's clash of the Division One heavyweights.
Wanderers have so far received an allocation of only 1,159 seats for the March 20 fixture, which is being billed as a possible title decider.
They have imposed their strictest rationing policy, restricting sales to season ticket holders only and insisting on applications by post.
But Sunderland say they can have more, if they sell their initial allocation. Extra supplies will be made vailable in stages up to a maximum 3,100 in line with the Wearside club's ticketing policy.
"Bolton can have more tickets, if they sell the 1,159 they have already been given," a spokesman said.
Even if Wanderers take up the maximum allocation, their fans will be greatly outnumbered on their first visit to the Stadium of Light, where a full house 42,000 all-ticket crowd is expected.
