MUSIC-LOVING Bolton pupils are feeling upbeat after a company stepped in to replace a stolen drum kit which cost them nearly 15,000 chocolate wrappers.
Youngsters at George Tomlinson School in Kearsley were down in the dumps after thieves stole their drum kit over the Christmas holidays.
But Jacobs Biscuits executives decided to act after reading a Bolton Evening News story highlighting how the children had chomped their way through nearly 15,000 of their biscuits to buy the kit.
One look at the glum pupils in our picture made them decide to bring the smiles back to their faces by donating a drum kit without asking for a single Club biscuit wrapper.
Headteacher Tony Buckley said: "I think some agency sent them a BEN cutting and they got in touch with us to try and help.
"The children are delighted with the new drum kit."
