BURY boss Neil Warnock has urged his players to keep out of trouble in the relegation fight run-in. Warnock, whose side goes in search of an elusive first away win at Tranmere tomorrow, wants to avoid more suspension headaches than he already has.

He is without centre half Chris Swailes tomorrow while striker Lutel James has picked up a four-match ban and midfield battler Darren Bullock faces a lengthy suspension for his debut day sending off against Norwich City last week if an appeal fails. Another midfield warhorse Mark Patterson is just one booking away from a one-match ban and if he picks up a booking tomorrow he will join Bullock on the sidelines for the home game against Barnsley on March 13, leaving Bury short of midfield bite.

Warnock said: "I am just hoping Mark can be very professional tomorrow, curb his enthusiasm and avoid a booking.

"We need him on the pitch rather than in the stand. That goes for everybody."

Warnock is hoping midfield class act Nick Daws recovers from a back injury to take his place at Tranmere.

The last time Daws missed a game was in December 1995 in the Third Division and will play his 152nd consecutive game for the Shakers if he passes a fitness test.

Lutel James, who has been on £200 a week since signing from Unibond Premier League club Hyde United last October, has signed a two and a half year contract with Bury.
