STRIKE partners Dean Holdsworth and Bob Taylor are coming under pressure as Wanderers feel the heat in the race for the Premiership.

Scandinavian duo Eidur Gudjohnsen and Bo Hansen were in the goals again last night, impressing Colin Todd and showing once again that they are ready to give the first team duo a run for their money.

Gudni Bergsson also came through the 3-1 Pontins League victory at Wolves, showing no reaction after his recovery from groin surgery, although he is not in the running for Saturday's game at Swindon, where Wanderers need to get back on track after successive defeats.

But it was the Gudjohnsen-Hansen partnership that caught the eye with the 20-year-old Icelander particularly impressive with his double strike.

"Eidur got a couple of good goals," Todd said, expressing his delight with the 2nd Xl's performance in the game that marked the comeback of Molineux legend Steve Bull and attracted a crowd of 8,000.

"They are going very well at the moment and that's pleasing."

Wanderers gave a trial to another Dane - 25-year-old midfielder Martin Nielsin from FC Copenhagen - but Todd is unlikely to follow up his interest in the player who spent two months on loan at Huddersfield last season.

"His name has been on my files for a couple years," the Wanderers boss said of the former Denmark U-21 international. "But the problem is that they are only in their pre-season at the moment in Denmark and I'm looking for someone who is ready now. He wasn't up to the tempo we need at present."
