AS part of Chorley Harriers' Grand Prix, a good pack of runners turned out for the Lostock 6 at the weekend.
An undulating course and strong headwinds made for an interesting race. In a quality field of nearly 400 runners, Keith Johnson raced well to finish 13th - just 2 minutes behind the winner with a time of 32.18.
Three new lady runners to the club, turned out in the very first race, Julie Platt, Donna Williams and Joyce Connie. Well done to each of them.

Winter Hill Fell Race - Sunday February 28.
Some 100 runners turned out for this grade 'A' fell race. Although the weather was fine to start, as soon as the rain came, conditions became unbearable.
Quite a number of runners failed to complete the 11-mile course. It consists of nine check-points and goes past the Winter Hill transmitter.
To complete the course in under two hours is an achievement. Chorley Harriers' first three runners did just that. Taking part were: Alan Alty, Malc Christie, Pete Gillham, Ian Williams, Terry Walton, Dave Lee, John Lovick and Andy Lowe.
