I've never owned a private jet, a millionaire I've never met,
Forever seeking a pot of gold, chasing rainbows, fortunes told.
I've never climbed a mountain, nor reached the highest peak,
Lived my days one by one, for better times to seek.
It's no use longing for the things we haven't got,
Indeed we should be thankful for all our worldly lot.
If in spite of failure to satisfy our greed,
You'll find no one's a loser, sharing others needs.
With a smile on my face, a dream in my heart,
Some miracle may at last unfold.
Though fame and wealth may have passed me by,
I'll keep searching for my pot of gold! By I Hamer
