BUSINESS over breakfast has been giving bosses in Deane, Derby and Daubhill food for thought.

Seminars organised by Bolton Enterprise Services have been taking place on various issues on new legislation important to local businesses.

The most recent seminar on the Euro took place at the Jarvis International, Blackrod, when businesses got together over bacon and eggs to discuss the impact the new currency could have on them.

3Ds business advisor Malcolm Howarth, who helped organise the event said: "With the impending introduction of the Euro even local businesses are going to have a lot to consider and our seminar helped the smaller businesses who don't always understand new legislation.

"People need to consider a plan of action, which could mean new equipment such as tills, pricing in Euro as well as Sterling and banking and accounting systems." Advisors at Bolton Enterprise Services say a seminar over breakfast is probably one of the most convenient ways of getting information across.

Business advisor Joanne Brierley added: "They have proved very popular with local businesses. They usually start about 8am and it means they can have a two hour seminar and be back at work by 10am - hardly eating into the working day at all. It also gives people the chance to speak to other businesses as well as getting to know about legislation and other issues which really affect them."

A 3Ds Budget Breakfast has been planned for Wednesday after the Budget and a seminar on the Internet has been planned for April. For more information and to book a place contact Joanne Brierley or Malcolm Howarth at Bolton Enterprise Services on 391494.
