THE re-opening of Farnworth Bus Station today, following major refurbishment, means there will be a number of timetable changes to First Manchester services operating the Bolton to Manchester route.
Services affected include numbers 25, 31 and GOLD service number 68.
For service 25, Bolton to Manchester, departures will now be nine minutes earlier throughout, with return Manchester to Bolton departures six minutes earlier.
Service number 31 is to be rescheduled to depart Farnworth to Manchester two minutes earlier, but there will be no change for journeys Farnworth to Bolton. Both Bolton and Manchester departure times are unchanged.
Bolton and Manchester departure times for GOLD service number 68 remain unchanged, but will now leave Farnworth in the direction of Manchester four minutes earlier, and two minutes earlier travelling towards Bolton.
Bus bosses say new timetables are being produced, and will be made available as soon as possible.
In the meantime, full details of the revised services and all other First Manchester operations are available from the newly launched GMPTE Telephone Enquiry Service, on 0161 228 7811.
