I refer to the superstore, Old Hall Street, Kearsley and the letter from Cllrs Keating, Burrows and Spencer (BEN, March 2).
First, I would like to say to the people of Farnworth and Kearsley, my colleagues and I attended the Government Inquiry although we didn't just show our faces then disappear like two of our local councillors.
I am not in the habit of fabricating stories, I see no point. Local people have been kept in the dark so long now they are clever enough to judge the facts, and amount of council representation they have been given for themselves.
Our meeting at the church hall was by freedom of choice, a leaflet drop to inform our community of the facts. Ms P Spencer also had the same leaflet.
And as for a consultation with local residents is concerned, there has been no signs of any yet.
But then again, they only have to live with it and the extra traffic and pollution it would create haven't they.
