THE Mossfield Road estate in Kearsley has had the water supply turned off twice in under a month with no prior warning to the consumer i.e. to fill kettles or pans in reserve. I remember a time when someone would drive round the avenues with a loudspeaker so that we could be prepared (not any more). Nothing has been the same since Mrs Thatcher introduced privatisation. People in authoritative positions seem to be happy just sitting behind a desk and receiving salaries that read like telephone numbers. Well, chaps, I think it's time you got your act together and next time you stop our supply of water, do you think you could give US, the consumer, an early warning please?
