PENSIONERS expect this Labour Government to fulfil its promise that they would share in their country's prosperity, not by patronising hand-outs, but by restoring the link between the basic state pension and average earnings.
A pensioner's cash has to be in a safe and easily accessible account - thus ruling out any investments which may give a better return
The recent series of interest rate cuts to help the economy and the overall prosperity of the nation must be welcomed. However, while the cuts help borrowers, they have the reverse effect on savers.
