IT was with particular interest that I read of the plight of Bolton's Sea Cadets in Monday's edition of the BEN. Our society has already taken up the challenge by working alongside the cadets to raise much needed money.
Bolton's award winning Sea Cadets have already utilised their skills in semaphore signalling to publicise our current production, a double bill featuring Trial by Jury, and HMS Pinafore, which is being staged this week, at the Albert Hall, Bolton, until Saturday.
We are particularly looking forward to this evening's show, which will be a naval night with Bolton's Sea Cadets on parade to welcome our audience.
As the show has a nautical air, we are sending out a special invitation to all naval types to attend the show this evening. We will also be taking a collection at the end of the show for the Cadets to thank them for all their help, and hope to make a donation ourselves if we can make a profit on the week.
So it would be nice to welcome all naval music lovers to join us for good fun, good music, all in a good cause!
