THE town should be proud of the human and canine representatives of the Bolton Guide Dogs for the Blind training Centre who are at Cruft's this week. They are demonstrating the skills honed by the excellent training the animals receive at this regional centre.

Even in Bolton, though, we don't always appreciate the centre's high standards of professionalism and the value of their work. Fortunately, the end product of greater freedom for visually impaired people thanks to their canine friends is a constant inspiration.
