CONGRATULATIONS to Egerton County Primary School on a sensible scheme which shows a high level of community commitment. Not only did they start a successful out-of-school club seven years ago but they are now opening a new holiday club at Easter.
It must be much easier to shut the school gates at the end of the day, and the end of term, but at Egerton a useful alliance of staff and parents has instead created a way of helping both parents and children during the long school breaks.
