IN July I will be travelling on the Royal British Legion Pilgrimage to Berlin and Colditz. This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the ending of the Berlin Airlift and while in Berlin we will be holding a Service of Remembrance at the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery at Charlottenberg.
We will be having a guided tour of the infamous Colditz Castle and one of our party will be a gentleman who spent four years as a prisoner of war in the Castle.
There are still vacancies on the tour and full details are available from The Royal British Legion on telephone number 01622 716729.
I would be very happy to take photographs of specific graves in Charlottenberg Cemetery for anyone unable to travel.
