THE red carpet will be down - literally - at the Horwich RMI Club on May 14.
A "world premiere" jazz concert will be launching the Swing Suite at the club where drumming legend Eric Delaney will be playing with drummer Crissy Lee and her all female orchestra.
Delaney is flying in from the continent where he has been performing for the concert which will celebrate his 75th birthday. This will be the first time the two drummers have played together.
Last October Delaney, who has had 60 years in showbusiness, was given the Freedom of the City of London.
Ken Chaisty, who is organising the event, says there is only "a handful of tickets" left to be sold.
If you want tickets for the concert which is being heralded as "the big jazz event of the year", they are available from 01204 468085 between 9am and 5 pm and from 01204 468911, after 5 pm.
