WHEN will the producers of fluoride, stop talking about the advantages of fluoride when added to the domestic water supply for the so-called reduction in children's tooth decay?
This substance is a waste by-product, principally in the aluminium and fertiliser industry, and we are constantly being made aware of its advantages.
The obvious known cause of children's tooth decay is sugar, with confectionery being the culprit, but I am of the opinion the makers of that product, or of any other sweetened foods, will ever consider adding fluoride to their produce to reduce tooth decay.
The powers that be in connection with fluoride are expecting the Government to come to their assistance to compel the water authorities to fluoridate the water supply, although 90 per cent of the public are not in favour of its addition.
