A COUNCILLOR is calling for a 30mph speed limit to be introduced at a Bolton accident blackspot.
Tory Cllr John Hanscomb wants traffic slowed down along Chorley Old Road near the Walker Fold Road junction.
There have been a number of accidents along that stretch of road. Cllr Hanscomb said at a Bolton Council meeting that he had been waiting more than a year for Bolton Council to reply for a request for restrictions.
Cllr Jack Foster, planning and environment committee chairman, said he would investigate whether a new speed limit should be introduced.
