SMALL Bolton companies are getting the green message.
Micro-businesses (those with fewer than 10 employees) took part in a free "Micren" energy efficiency workshop at Ladybridge Hall, Bolton.
It was one of a series of seminars designed to demonstrate how environmental awareness can reduce costs and save money.
Marika Rajah, Environmental Business Counsellor based at Bolton Enterprise Services, said the evening was a great success and those who attended were keen to take away what they had learned and introduce cost-saving measures in their own premises.
She said: "The range of micro-businesses attending - from caterers to office suppliers - shows the diversity of Bolton businesses which are committed to greening their trading and enhancing their competitiveness.
"Places are already filling up for the next workshop and I anticipate an equally encouraging response from more forward-thinking Bolton businesses."
