I ATTENDED a meeting on Thursday, March 18, at Chorley New Road CP School, Horwich, about the review of primary school places in Bolton.
It was stated that before any grants/funding could be obtained for building a new primary school for the Lee Hall development, the surplus primary spaces in the Westhoughton area would have to be reduced. The implication of this is that it may well be probable that an existing school in the Westhoughton area will have to close.
Do the people of Westhoughton realise that the future of schooling in the area is being revised, on the basis that the development will go ahead.
