In Saturday's BEN, the question was asked: "How long will 'life' be for the triple killer?"
The answer could be - as short as six years. This is based on what certain members of the legal profession say i.e. two of the life sentences will automatically be quashed. The remaining life sentence will be nine years (on average) and this will be reduced by one-third for good behaviour.
If this is so, then the general public ought to protest at the weak and over-lenient judicial system we have in this country.
